FirmHugger is about ethical companies
You should only add companies that are
dedicated to being ethical
in their way of doing business, and concerning the products/services they sell. Also, only add companies that sell
consumer products/services.
What is an ethical company?
A truly ethical company is using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems and taking concrete actions to make the world a better place.
When adding a company to FirmHugger it is therefore essential that the company is making a positive impact through one or more of the following (or similar) areas:
- Ecology / organic principles
- Good working conditions and fair trade
- Zero-waste, Recycling or Upcycling
- Renewable energy
- Cradle-to-cradle production
In addition, the company should clearly lay out its social and/or environmental vision and values on its website.
It's about dedication
In the end, it really comes down to the company's dedication in running a truly ethical business. FirmHugger is
not
for companies with only small green efforts compared to their core businesses.
Approval of a company
A company must be approved before it can appear on FirmHugger's main pages. The approval of a company is currently
decided by FirmHugger staff
based on input from the community (hugs, comments, and concerns) and our own research on the company according to FirmHugger's guiding principles.
The approval process aims to ensure the credibility of using FirmHugger for finding/displaying ethical companies and products of high standard - and is therefore in everybody's interest.
In time, the aim is to make approval entirely up to the community.

This is one of my favorite cafes in Copenhagen. Very cozy, laid back, and almost like home. The people who work there are wonderful, and you can always expect to fall into an inspiring conversation. If you are looking for a great relaxed atmosphere, day or night, this is the place to be.
There is a Retro café at Nørrebro as well. I believe it is the same concept as the one in the heart of Copenhagen. A really nice place
Great informal and warm atmosphere and really sweet people! Definitely one of my favorite places in Copenhagen, especially the one in Nørrebro, on Jægersborggade 14. Free wi-fi, boardgames, knitting, art nights, coding circles, or just relaxing and hanging out.
